Quarterly Incentive Awards for January - March 2019

             
    Ryan Bidgood   Hockey Ryan has been selected in the Queensland Under 15 Boys hockey team to compete at the Australian Championships in Narellan, NSW in April.
     
     
    Lillian Hanssen   Athletics Lillian won the bronze medal in the Girls Under 16 years 400m at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships with a PB of 55.66. At the Coles Queensland State Championships, she won silver in both the 400m and 200m with a PB in the 200m of 25.04. She has been selected in the Queensland Team to compete in the 400m and 200m at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Sydney in April.
     
     
    Bailey Harm   Swimming Bailey culminated his swim season with a gold medal performance at the State Sprint Championships in Brisbane, to become the reigning Queensland Champion for the Boys 10 years 50m Freestyle in a PB swim of 29.96sec. Bailey also competed at the Queensland School Sport 10-12 years swimming trials where he swam four events and qualified for four finals. He won the silver medal in the Boys 11 years 50m Backstroke and a bronze in the 50m Freestyle. These results have secured him a position on the Queensland team to compete at the School Sport Australia National Championships being held in Melbourne in July.
     
     
    Edward Curran   Athletics At the Queensland Athletics Championships held in Cairns, Ned won the gold medal in the Boys 11 years 800m and 1500m. He then went on to represent Queensland at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships held in Melbourne where he won the bronze medal in both the 800m and 1500m.
     
     
    Ewald Kruger   Athletics At the Queensland Athletics Championships, Ewald won the gold medal in the Under 14 Boys Hammer Throw, and silver in the Discus & Shotput. From this performance he has been selected to represent Queensland at the Australian Athletics Championships at Sydney in April.
     
     
    Eli Schmidt   Softball Eli was a member of the Queensland Under 15 Boys Softball team which competed at the National Championships in Canberra. From his performance at these championships, Eli was one of only five Queensland players who were selected to represent Australia at the Under 14 International Development tour in New Zealand in April.
     
     
    Tyannah Eggins   Futsal As well as being a talented footballer, and volleyball player, Tyannah has been selected in the Girls 15 Years Australian Futsal team to tour Brazil in August.
     
     
    William Curran   Athletics Will came second to his brother Ned in the 1500m and 800m at the Queensland Athletics Championships held in Cairns. He then went on to represent Queensland at the Australian Junior Track & Field Championships held in Melbourne where he placed fourth in the 1500m.
     
     
    Declan Trezise   Cycling At the Elite Queensland Track Championships, Declan competed in the Under 19 age group where he won silver in the points race, scratch race and the omnium race. From this performance he has been selected in the Queensland Under 19 Track team to compete at the Australian Track Championships at Brisbane in April.
     
     
    Chloe Randall   Athletics At the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships held in Cairns, Chloe ran in the Under 16 years 1500m and 3000m. Chloe placed 11th in the 1500m and 4th in the 3000m which was an amazing effort as Chloe is only 14 years old. She is the fastest 14 year old girl in Australia over 3000m.
     
     
    Bobbie Hamlet   Indoor Hockey In just her first season of playing indoor hockey, Bobbie was selected in the Under 13 Queensland Flare Indoor Hockey team as goalie. This team travelled to Goulburn NSW where Bobbie only let in 5 goals during the whole tournament. The best game was against the undefeated NSW team where NSW removed their own goalie to have an extra on-field player but Bobbie still didn’t let a goal in and Queensland won the game. With a great win to Queensland Bobbie was awarded player of the match by all officials.
     
     
    Luke Levitt   Softball Luke represented the Darling Downs in Maryborough at the 13-19 years Boys Softball Championships, and from his performance at these championships was selected in the Queensland Schoolboys Softball team to compete at the National Championships in Canberra in May.
     
     
    Kail Eustace   Para Athletics At the School Sport 10-12 Years National Track and Field Championships held in Melbourne, Kail competed in the multiclass (AWD) 100m, 200m, 800m 4x100m relay and the long jump. He placed 1st in the long jump, 2nd in the 800m, 3rd in the 100m and relay and 4th in the 200m.
     
     
    Sarah Bradbury   Futsal Sarah represented Queensland in both the Youth and Women’s Teams at the National Club Futsal Championships held in Sydney. In the position of goalkeeper she played 14 x 50min matches in four days saving a high percentage of shots against her. As a result of this performance she has been invited to represent Australia as one of only 20 Youth players, to attend the 2019 Montesilvano Futsal Cup in Italy against 79 teams from 12 nations across 3 continents.
     
     
    Crystal Pollard   Para Athletics At the Queensland Athletics Championships, Crystal won the silver medal in the Open Women’s 100m Ambulant race. At these championships she also came 4th in the 400m Open Women’s Ambulant race.
     
     
    Paul Draheim   Cricket Paul has been selected in the Queensland Under 15 Cricket Team to compete at the Cricket Australia Under 15 National Championships.
     
     
    Alexandria Heaton   Karate Alex competed at the National All Styles Karate Championships at the Gold Coast, where she won a silver medal for her Kata event and a bronze medal for the points sparring event.
     
     
    Sophie Thornton   Volleyball Sophie is currently Vice Captain of the Queensland Women’s Volleyball team. With the Australian Development team she travelled to Tulsa, USA for an International Tournament. She is a member of the Pirates Australian Volleyball league and is a QAS athlete.
     
     
    Alex Huie   Swimming & Underwater Hockey In the sport of swimming Alex won his first two Queensland medals at the Queensland Swimming Championships in Brisbane. He won a silver medal in the Boys Under 12 Medley Regional Relay team and a bronze in the Boys Under 12 Club Medley Relay team. In both instances swimming Butterfly. In the sport of Underwater Hockey he was a member of the Queensland Under 15 mixed team which won the Australian Underwater Hockey Championship, remaining undefeated throughout the entire championships to claim the gold.
     
     
    Sam Anderson   Cricket Sam was vice-captain of the Queensland Under 15 Male Cricket team at the Cricket Australia National Championships where they went down in the final to NSW. Sam has also been selected in the Queensland Schoolboys Under 14 Team which will be playing matches against NSW in September.
     
     
    Megan Seipel   Para Athletics At the Queensland Athletics Championships held in Cairns, Megan competed in the AWD 100m, 200m, long jump and shotput.
     
     
    Dylan Pember   Indoor Hockey Dylan was a member of the Queensland Under 18 Men’s Indoor Hockey team which won the silver medal at the Australian Indoor Hockey Championships at Goulburn in January. From his performance at these championships he has been selected in the Australian Under 18 Indoor Hockey program where he will attend a high performance training camp later in the year in Wollongong.
