Quarterly Incentive Awards for July - September 2016

           
Amalgamated Pest Control Incentive Award   Conor McLoughlin   Athletics At the International Down Under Athletics Championships held at the Gold Coast in July, Conor won a gold medal in the Open Men’s Hammer, Open Men’s Discus, Under 18 Hammer and Under 18 Discus. He has also been awarded the Australian Olympic Committee Pierre De Coubertin Award in recognition of his sporting achievements and his demonstration of those endeavours which are consistent with the aims of the Olympic movement.
           
McConachie Stedman Incentive Award   Anthony Passante   Soccer Anthony was a member of the Queensland Under 19 Schoolboys Soccer team which competed at the Australian Championships in Perth in August. From his performance at these championships he has been selected as a shadow player for the Under 19 Australian Schoolboys team to tour the UK and Ireland in January 2017.
           
Rebel Sport Incentive Award   Mason Hughes   Athletics Mason won a gold medal in the Shotput, Javelin & Triple Jump and a silver in the Discus in the Boys 14 years at the International Down Under Athletics Championships held at the Gold Coast in July.
           
Clive Berghofer Land Sales Incentive Award   Celeste Pratt   Cross Country At the Australian Cross Country Championships held in Canberra in August, Celeste won the silver medal in the Girls 13 Years AWD 3 km Cross Country run.
           
The City Golf Club Incentive Award   Teketel Tyson   Touch Football Teketel was selected in the Queensland School Sport 15 Years Touch Football team after competing at the State Championships at the Gold Coast in July. With this team he will compete at the National titles in Perth in October.
           
Wilsonton Betta Home Living Incentive Award   Quinn Burling   Swimming Quinn competed at the Queensland Short Course Swimming Championships in late August. At this meet she swam in seven events in the 15 years age group. Of these events Quinn placed 1st in the 100m Freestyle and 100m I.M. Over all the events she competed in Quinn broke 5 Darling Downs Age Records and 2 Open Records.
           
The Athletes Foot Incentive Award   Archer Black   Cross Country At the Australian Cross Country Championships held in August at Canberra, Archer won a gold medal in the Team 1km Sprint and a silver medal in the Team 2km Race.
           
Toowoomba Carpet Court Incentive Award   Charlie Randall   Cross Country At the Australian Cross Country Championships held in Canberra in August Charlie won the silver medal in the 10 years Boys 2km Cross Country run. He was also a member of the Queensland Boys 10 years team which won the gold medal in both the Relay event and Teams event.
           
Hip Pocket Workwear Incentive Awards   Scott Schultz   Volleyball Scott Captained the Queensland 19 Years and Under Boys Volleyball team which travelled to Singapore and Malaysia in September. This team won all tournaments they competed in while abroad.
           
Holmes Smash Repairs Speedliner Incentive Award   Gai Gai   Volleyball Gai was a member of the Queensland 15 Years and Under Boys Volleyball team who won the gold medal at the Australian Volleyball Championships held in Sydney in August.
           
Downs Group Training Incentive Award   Tatum Stewart   Hockey Tatum was a member of the Queensland Under 16 Girls Hockey team which won the gold medal, beating NSW 3-2 in the final, at the National Schools Hockey Championships held in Melbourne in August.
           
Neil Mansell Group Incentive Award   Joseph Currie   Rugby League Joseph was a member of the Queensland School Sport 12 Years Rugby League team which competed at the School Sport Australia Rugby League Championships at Canberra in August.
           
McDonald's Restaurants Toowoomba Incentive Award   Samantha Lenton   Athletics Samantha won a gold medal in the 18 years Girls Shotput and Hammer Throw and a silver in the Discus at the Oceania Melanesian Regional Championships held at Suva, Fiji in July. In Hammer, she threw a massive 60.32m which was a PB as well as an Oceania & Queensland Record.
           
Sports Darling Downs Incentive Award   Joel Stahlhut   Golf Joel came 1st at the Queensland Schoolboys Golf Championships and is Captain of the Queensland Schoolboys Junior Team as well as a current member of the Queensland Junior Team.
           
    Lucy Leadbetter & Sophie Thornton   Volleyball Lucy & Sophie were members of the Queensland 15 Years and Under Girls Volleyball team which won at the National Volleyball Championships held in Sydney. From their performances at these championships both Lucy and Sophie were selected in the Honorary Australian Volleyball team.
