Quarterly Incentive Awards for April - June 2015

           
Amalgamated Pest Control Incentive Award   Emma Meyer   Athletics Emma represented Australia at the Oceania Games in Cairns in May, where she came home with a silver medal in the 17 years high jump with a jump of 1.65 metres.
           
Central Jewellers Incentive Award   Hayden Siebuhr   Swimming Hayden suffers from partial paraplegia but aspires to represent Australia at swimming and he has nearly achieved his goal. At the Queensland Swimming Championships he won a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke, breaking both his Australian and Queensland Age and Open records for this event. He also broke the Queensland Open and Age records in the 50m Freestyle and placed 4th in the 100m Backstroke.
           
McConachie Stedman Incentive Award   Zayden Pidgeon   Volleyball Zayden was captain of the Darling Downs Volleyball team which won the bronze medal at the State Open Volleyball Championships. Due to his excellent performance on the court, Zayden has been selected in the Queensland Open Boys Volleyball team to tour Malaysia and Singapore.
           
Rebel Sport Incentive Award   Scott Schultz   Volleyball Scott was a member of the Darling Downs Team which won the bronze medal at the Queensland Volleyball Championships. From his performance during this season, Scott has been selected in the Queensland Open Boys Volleyball Team to tour Malaysia and Singapore in September.
           
Clive Berghofer Land Sales Incentive Award   Emma Ljung   Horse Racing During the month of May, Emma became the first Toowoomba-based apprentice jockey to outride her provincial riding allowance since 2008. (80 career wins to achieve this feat). This makes her just the 7th Toowoomba apprentice to achieve this in the past 20 years.
           
The City Golf Club Incentive Award   Hayden Dorge   Hockey In April, Hayden travelled to Hobart as a member of the Queensland Under 15 Boys Hockey Team to contest the National Championships. Hayden is still 13 and was a year younger than all other team members and a good deal shorter; however this didn’t stop him and he was awarded the Most Improved in the Queensland team.
           
Geiger Group Incentive Award   Rachael Curtis   Indoor netball Rachael was Vice-Captain of the Queensland Heat 21 and Under Ladies Indoor Netball team who won the silver medal at the Indoor Netball Supernational Championships held in Sydney. Rachael was awarded Player of the Series for the 21 and Under Ladies.
           
Cooper's Joinery Incentive Award   Abbie Prendergast   Touch After captaining the Darling Downs Under 18 Girls Touch team to 3rd place at the State Touch Championships, Abbie has been selected in the Queensland Under 18 Girls Touch Team to compete at the National Youth Championships in September. She has also been selected in the Open Women’s South West Queensland Touch Team to compete at the National Touch League.
           
Wilsonton Betta Home Living Incentive Award   Ben Shaw   Weightlifting Ben, at a bodyweight of 84.25kg, snatched 130kg and lifted 161kg in the clean and jerk at the Saints Open Competition and in doing so has achieved International Grade making him eligible for selection for the Senior Australian team for the Oceania Championships in June in PNG and the Commonwealth Championships in October in India.
           
The Athletes Foot Incentive Award   Meselech Tyson   Touch & Netball Meselech has been selected to represent the Darling Downs in the 12 years Touch & Netball teams to compete at the state titles later in the year. This is the third year Meselech has made the Netball team being firstly selected as a 10 year old.
           
Toowoomba Carpet Court Incentive Award   Rochelle Vidler   Athletics At the Queensland Junior Athletics Championships, Rochelle won gold in the Under 15 Hammer and Discus and a gold medal in the Under 20 Hammer. She then when on to compete at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships, where she won gold in the Under 15 Hammer, setting a new meet record, and a gold in the Under 15 Discus.
           
Stonestreets Coaches Incentive Award   Clarissa Osborne   BMX Racing Clarissa finished 2nd in the Girls 14 years age group at the Queensland BMX Championships. Leading on from this, at her first Australian BMX Championships Clarissa made the top 10 girls in the 14 years age group.
           
Hip Pocket Workwear Incentive Awards   Jordan Lloyd   Motorsport Jordan travelled to the USA to compete in the USF2000 Series which is a feeder category, just three steps down from Indycar. In the first round he qualified 4th out of 19 competitors, and in subsequent rounds finished 4th, 5th and 2nd. These results made him the leading Rookie in each race.
           
Holmes Smash Repairs Speedliner Incentive Award   Teketel Tyson   Cross Country Teketel won the gold medal in the Boys 14 years at the Queensland All Schools Cross Country Championships. This now qualifies him for the Australian Cross Country Championships to be held in Melbourne.
           
The Apprenticeship Company Incentive Award   Riley Halpin   Touch Riley has been selected in the Darling Downs Under 12 Touch Football team, and also the Darling Downs Under 12 Rugby League team, to compete at the state titles later in the year. This is the second year in a row he has made both teams.
